A Community United by Jazz
Won’t You Join Us?
The Twin Ports Jazz Society is dedicated to promoting the public performance of jazz throughout the Twin Ports region and beyond. Through our efforts as educators and patrons of jazz performance, we work with venues and private and public entities to assist in the placement of student and professional jazz musicians in situations that enhance jazz in the Twin Ports.
By becoming a member of the Twin Ports Jazz Society, you can help us in our mission to promote the live performance of jazz in our community. Through the various levels of sponsorship that we offer, we are able to assist school band programs, provide college scholarships for jazz studies to local universities, and make live performance of America’s music possible in our area.
Our Story
The Twin Ports Jazz Society is a group of musicians, educators, patrons and jazz fans who are dedicated to preserving and promoting jazz music in our community and the surrounding area. To this end, TPJS sponsors live jazz performances in the Twin Ports area, and assists in the production of the Cool Town Jazz Festival.
TPJS also provides grants to schools, scholarships to students, connects with other jazz organizations throughout the country, and keeps area jazz enthusiasts informed about jazz related news and shows in our region.
